Antibiotics for mastitis?

Hi, i had mastitis 2 weeks ago - 2nd time ive had it with this baby....dr prescribed IBILEX 500......4 times a day...or was it 3 forget, but took about 2 tablets before i felt it work.
Seeing as my baby is 8 months, dr also said it was okay to take nurofen plus. I was in so much agony (flu like symptoms mainly) i took 2 x nurofen plus - i felt relief almost immediately. Talk to your dr first though
