    I also used to leave it on the bench before I went out or to bed if I knew it would be used in a few hours time. My boys were happy to drink it at room temp too, so I never had to worry about heating at all.

    We did pretty much all our EBM at room temp, try it that way first - if she likes it warmer it will still be quicker to heat than if it's been in the fridge.

    I agree with all the PPs. My DSs would both drink EBM straight from the fridge so heating might not even be necessary.

    Thanks guys. It never occured to me that it might not need to be heated! Will tell DH to put the kettle on to boil and at the same time try giving it to her at room temp. That way if she won't take it, the hot water will be ready to start heating.

    Jennifer, thanks for thinking of me! 'Middle of the night' is usually not till about 4 or so, so I'm hoping I will be able to hold out for a few extra hours!
