Lol WM! When DD wakes for a feed at night if I'm not quick enough she'll have a go through my top. I did wonder if DD thought Mum meant breastfeeding, we point to our selves and say mum or dad, then point to her and say her name, so for a while she'd point to my chest saying mum. Seems like bup is definitely it though!

BAL I can imagine how you might feel like that. 12 months of mama milk is incredibly impressive though. Many mothers don't get close to that.

Mummynaomi DD does that when the letdown is slower than usual or if she has wind.

Love all the BF names... DH and I have been jokingly calling feeding booby time ... Until I realised she might start saying 'booby' which I don't want her to do in public. So I've been saying 'milk' but DH is persistent with the booby alas

i always say milk refering to bf..whether dd gets the connection who knows.
turns out dd fussiness and biting was teething ..
and BAL you have done fantastic so far. dont beat yourself up or push yourself too far. alot can happen between now and then.

Thanks ladies.. I am hoping he wont drop his morning feed. It's honestly the only feed we seem to both enjoy without stress.. It's a nice lazy in bed morning feed.. Other feeds just seem to be clouded by the pressure of me wanting him to feed and him not wanting too, pulling off and on etc.. We'll see..

It's milkies here although DD1 can't say m's properly so it becomes dilkies or gilkies.

I never thought about what sort of precedent we're setting by what DH and I say when I'm BFing. It's definitely 'boobie time' here and I say stuff about swapping from left to right boob etc. during feeds. I guess there's plenty of time to change the habit since DD is only 4 weeks old but I think I'm ok with her calling it boob. That's what boobs are for after all. :grin:

I say booby, do you want some booby milk? But I think his nununnah, is kind of similar to his ta. I don't really care if he starts calling out for booby. That's what they are, and that's what their function is. Too bad if it upsets others.

Just a woo hoo from me, DS (7w tomorrow) put on 600grams in 2 weeks! Up to 4.7kg now. That's 1.9kgs from his birth weight.

MN - Miss A does the pulling on and off too and its always worse on her really crap attachment side. Drives me nuts because she sometimes doesn't let go when she does it and drags my nipple with her.

BAL - you've done an incredible job. Crossing everything you can keep your little man going a bit longer yet.

Charlotte - that's an incredible weight gain. You must have got the really good stuff there ;-)

We're booby juice here too. Miss A obviously doesn't say anything yet but the second she makes any kind of suggestion of a cry either Miss I or Miss E will get "that" tone and say "Just give her booby juice Mummy. She's hungry - AGAIN!" Such exasperation in their tone
