How do reckon W would go getting to sleep without a breastfeed? I've been thinking about it too, because A has started playing around a bit more before bed.

At daycare for her nap, they give her a cup of milk, she lies down on her little bed on the floor and she puts herself to sleep. We've tried this at home but it turns into a game for her - up and down and up and down until I feed her and she goes to sleep. At night it's similar, she goes in her cot (she wants to go in there) and she plays a bit. We'll say "lie down, it's sleepy time" and she throws herself down on the mattress lol. Ten seconds later she's up again giggling. This goes on for a while, and I think she's down a bit longer each time, but eventually she stands up, reaches out and says "up". Really quick feed and she's out like a light, I put her back in the cot.

So I dunno, maybe he just needs to play around a bit before settling in? Or maybe he's ready to try other ways of getting to sleep, maybe if you just rubbed his back?

I had my first ever "maybe you should stop" comment today! We got to 15 months without one! It was because I've been sick so long, it was a "maybe you should get her off and focus on you" comment. Not that stopping will make me suddenly healthy, it's the stress of this ridiculous job that does it.
