AF returned for me at about 4 mnths and DS was exclusively bf I was hoping it would be longer. In saying that I was all over the place would get AF seemed to come every 6 to 8 wks after this

DS was definitely (and can still be) fussy when I am O and when AF is here. I never got pain when O before DS but I know now that when DS is being fussy it is almost always around the time I am either I or AF. I also had a c/section with DS and felt uterus contracting while feeding and did get those pains occasionaly in those early months (sorry couldn't remember exactly when) and it wasn't until you mention it BG that the contractions/pain would have been around the time I was O so that could explain the fussiness. I found the most frustrating thing with new babies is that once they establish a routine and I just get the hang of it they go and change the goalpost In hindsight things seem to be over and done with in a few days and I was always chanting the mantra of "this too shall pass"... I know it's a cliche but it kept me sain

My only goal for BF was that I didn't want to pay for formulae cause I am such a cheapskate I am so glad to hear TK that I am not the only one to become passionate about BF since having a baby. I am always prochoice but I am always quoting about the benefits and encouraging others to try and push through any issues they are having. I have even convinced my mum, who always thought that once they can walk and talk they don't need to bf anymore, that it is perfectly normal to feed DS
