I read a fantastic article the other day about ovulation, af and bfing. Apparently it is far more common for af to appear before ovulation when bfing, but the longer you go without a cycle, the higher the risk of ovulation occuring first. The average time it takes for af to return while bfing is 9 months - but for me it was 7 months first time and 6 months second time.
BG - the fussiness that you are experiencing with E's feeding is pretty common at that age. The things that seem to work best during this phase are feeding away from distractions, feeding in the bath, feeding while sleepy, and/or breastfeeding necklaces. It usually passes, but you will find she is always more alert than she used to be. The pain could be related to the oxytocin released during bfing -this is the same hormone that initiates labour and orgasm also.
