Oh wow Sterla!! That's awesome I think that's going to be how DD and I are...she too does not seem to 'get' what to do with the nipple anymore. My supply is awesome and her gains are great, so it's not actually causing any issues. Do you mind if I ask a few questions? How did you find public BFing with the shield? Sometimes it can be really frustrating when I'm out, hungry baby, and fumbling with the NS case, licking the shield and sticking it on It also is a bit messy for me, milk kind of leaks and breaks the suction. What about now, are you feeding with the shield again, or can it be different for subsequent children? The issues were with DD, she was born with a squashed head and had trouble opening her mouth, the LC and midwives all said my nipples were fine.
