PZ: I didn't feed in public heaps when he was really small, but as he got older I worked out a system. What I did was kept the shield in a case in my handbag, so it was always easy to get to. I'd have DS lying on my lap, get my top/bra and everything organised, sometimes even put the shield on under my top if I wanted to be extra discreet - so then all I had to do was lift up my top and get DS on. It took some practice, but eventually I was able to kind of get the shield on and DS on in a quick, swift motion, lol. As for the milk spillage - we had that too. I just put a spit up rag on my lap or wherever I thought the milk might spill. It only got easier as DS got older. Eventually I was able to do it all in the dark or with my eyes closed .
