Thanks girls - he is 4 months next week. He normally only goes at most two days and that is enough for me - there is sooo much that comes out then!!!! Atleast when it is a few times a day there easier and quicker to clean lol!
4 months here on Friday. I can hardly believe it! I wish DD2 would slow down in the pooing dept. I can at least hope for a couple of wet only nappies, but she's not predictable. DD1 at this age was starting to go days between poos. Fond memories. DD2 seems to have a much bigger appetite and is certainly growing faster, so I guess what goes in must come out!
She's also distracted if she isn't hungry and is now bobbing on and off frequently. But it's too cute when she pops off to give me a big smile, milk running out the side of her mouth. It's like she's saying "cheers Mum, this is the best!" I'm enjoying bfing more this time around, last time it felt more like something that had to be done. Not necessarily a pleasure.
Jen my little man is like that too feeds for like a min then wants to come off and lie back and relax and watch a bit of Telly have a giggle and then maybe feed again. Sometimes I worry he will be too distracted to feed but he seems to be going just as long between feeds so he must just be super efficient in the drinking department!
Got him weighed at work Last Friday so 16 weeks and he was 7.4kgs, 65cm and HC 41.5! He is growing zoo quickly! Good bye 000 onsies! :-(
Great growth mini! DD2 has her vax next week so I'll get her weighed then. At a guess she's approaching 6.5 kg? She's out of her 000s, lengthwise more than weight. They've gone to my sisters!
Managed to stave off something developing from a blocked duct yesterday with homeopathic remedy. DD2 slept from 6pm to 7am with only one feed so my other side was bursting! She seems to be dropping overnight feeds a bit. But then, I'm more than half asleep myself so I only know when she hasn't fed from my bbs. The other night I didn't even remember getting her out, feeding her and then sleeping again! Lol Cosleeping is working for us. She's in her Amby hammock until she wakes for a feed and then stays next to me for the rest of the night. Very conducive to my sleep.
My beautiful DD turns one today, which means we have been breastfeeding for 12 months - yay! Lucky for me, it has been a pretty easy 12 months and I can't see her weaning anytime soon. DS weaned at 22 months after I fell pregnant with DD, so my aim this time is to get to at least 24 months .
DD has been having a lovely day - being spoilt with presents. I received a 'present' today too - my first AF since having DD. Well, at least it will be easy to remember when it came this time!

My right boob has been leaking heaps in the last day, not sure why it had settled down for a few weeks and now I have niagra falls everytime I take my bra off!
Hi girls - was hoping someone might be online and can help. I was out tonight during bed time feed and happy had a big bottle of EBM to give little man - who normally is fine with EBM. He cried the whole time apparently and only took what looks like 60mls at this feed at 6pm
My issue is - we have started trying to get him to night wean (he is four months) and has slept through without feeds for the last three night. I don't think he will get through all night on 60mls and can't decide whether to wake him for a "dreamfeed" type feed now (im heading off to bed soon) which we have never done, or wait for him to wake up, but then I think we will be sending him mixed messages since earlier this week we havent been feeding him when he wakes just give him a quick pat and back to sleep.
What would u girls recommend?! If u have any advice?

He will likely wake if he needs more milk. you could try dream feeding if you want - it's up to you.
Just by the by, it's pretty unusual for babies to go all night without milk at this age. It may be that he's ready for it, but it may not last. Just something to bear in mind. It's not unusual at all for babies to still need night feeds at 12 months or even longer (for some!).
Thanks madb - I gave him a feed and he is back sleeping. I know it may not last the sleeping through but I want to engourage it if I can. I just didnt want to confuse him with sometimes giving him feeds and sometimes not. It's so hard to know what the right thing to do is!!!
And it was a nice time out - i used to play team sports before pregnant and this was my first game back. I'm completely exhausted now since I'm normally asleep by 9pm! But it was nice to do some exercise and run around! I just feel guilty bout the little guy not having a great time the bottle at bedtime. And also for dad having to deal with him getting upset when trying to feed.
Sararose - I would think uve just had a growth spurt so I think u might just have a bit more oversupply then your boobs have been getting used to
Well I gave him a "dream feed" and he slept till 5am with a quick pat and back to sleep till 645am so that worked out well. He is normally fine with a bottle of EBM during the day I guess I just wanted his mummy cuddles as well at night.
I just realised it's been more than 6 months! I only managed to feed my DD until 4 months when I went back to work and everything dried up, so kind of chuffed with myself as we're still going strong, occasional piranha-baby attacks and all
We have had a challenging BF journey so far, it will be 3 months tomorrow since we have been baby led nursing.. We have had issues with periods of breast refusal, weight gain and naso gastric tube feeding, but things seem to be getting better again now. DS still has 3 tube feeds, 2 overnight and 1 when he has his morning sleep, but apart from that i BF him on demand.. I love breastfeeding and want us to have this relationship for a long time. The bonding is beautiful..

congrats bal - it's been such a long journey for you guys it's so lovely to hear that you're going strong.
im amazed how much more relaxed i am this time round & feel very lucky so far we haven't hit amy hurdles. im also shocked to have a baby that will sometimes refuse a feed - my ds definitely wasnt like that!
