Hi everyone, how are we all going?

So, we are quite close to weaning - though whether it will be me or DS that makes that final decision I'm not sure. The only time DS might have booby now is either before his day sleep, or before bed, and even when he does it's not for long. I think the sensitive nipples you girls were talking about have kicked in here, and TBH I am really not enjoying feeding DS anymore. Seriously, I'm in his room feeding him, but my toes are curling and I'm pulling some pretty interesting facial expressions. I get him off as soon as I possibly can, and if I can, I avoid feeding him. I never thought I would get to the point where I felt this way, but the way it feels now just makes me skin crawl!
DS is coping fine with less feeds though - it seems to be only when he's overtired or already grumpy that he demands a feed, otherwise he can mention it, but not care either way if he has one or not. We have had a few days here and there where he hasn't had a feed at all. Considering how often he was feeding and how demanding he was about having booby when he asked for it a few months ago before I fell pregnant, now he seems fairly indifferent to having it! He still loves having cuddles and kisses though .
I always wanted to get to at least 2 years b/f with DS, but I honestly don't know if it will happen unless the sensitive nipples go away. Maybe if I start getting colostrum and DS is actually taking something from me... maybe it will start feeling normal again . I'm really torn - I don't want to force weaning on DS and I'd really like to get to 2 years with him, but he's barely feeding now and I'm really not enjoying it anymore. I think I could probably wean him completely without too much trouble... but I think I'd always feel bad about it... oh I don't know!!!
