As if that's not bad enough but of course due to the drugs I need to have for sedation I can't breastfeed after. DD won't take a bottle.... Not sure what I can do. The dentist suggested express enough for 24-48 hours and pump and dump for the same time period. After then reviewing my allergies and the drugs I would have to take he suggested that not breastfeeding at all would be best. (he was very respectful and was definitely trying to come up with options so no negativity around this)
Yes she loves water from a sippy cup. I should try that shouldn't I?
I have been to scared to try her on ebm in a sippy cup Incase she poo poo's the sippy cup altogether lol
She's not a great eater of solids and hadn't progressed to finger foods, she tolerates some mash and puree so she's a very particular little eater and drinker!
To be honest I would get a second opinion re the drugs and breastfeeding. It is highly unusual to have to suspend BF after anaesthetic after you wake up. Ring Rodney White at the Monash Medical Centre Drug information line on 03 9594 2361. Rodney is the expert on medications in pregnancy and breastfeeding. And your baby is a “big girl” now! Not as vulnerable to the effects of medications as a newborn. she should get by very nicely on food and solids while you are under sedation.
Do all your wisdom teeth need to come out at once? When I was breastfeeding DD1, can't remember how old exactly but a similar age, I had mine removed one at a time over a few visits in the chair and was able to breastfeed straight away. Definitely ring Rodney, he is very helpful and informative!

ETA: I just can't imagine that not breastfeeding at all would need to be the solution, so does that mean the drugs etc will never leave your body? It just doesn't sound right, they've got to be processed eventually. Rodney will know!

I'm having 2 out as I only have 2. I'm having sedation not GA, however I am allergic to a lot of medication so I think I freaked him out.

Another option is to not get them out yet. Are they causing you pain or problems?
Reason I say this is I was told I HAD to get all of mine out. They gave me no grief , one is crooked but the other two are fine and one has never appeared. Dentist told me they were going to give me big problems soon. That was 13 years ago and they are still in my mouth and still giving me no problems.
So maybe if they aren't giving you grief, you can leave them until bub has finished feeding?
Yes that's another option. Mine aren't giving me any grief they have grown down longer than the others and one has started to get a hole. I have no other fillings or anything so the thought of ever getting a toothache freaks me out so I want them out lol
