We have the little Avent cups as well with the screw on lids and I found them fabulous! We used to just send ours to DC frozen and then they would slowly defrost in the fridge then be transferred to her bottles, which were the tomme tippee closer to nature bottles so quite a wide top, that even it is wasn't complete defrosted before warming in a jug of warm water the milk would easily fit in.

I preferred them over the milk bags as they were reusable and were a lot cheaper to wash then replacing the bags all the time, and they stacked nicely in the freezer or fridge

Thanks girls. I have been looking at the Avent system. We use the Avent bottles and pump, so that would be easy to deal with. Thanks!

I used the Avent cups as well. They can be reused plenty of times and I only ever bought one box.

I originally used Avent Via Cups as well, you can get an adapter that I think comes with the larger pack and they will screw straight onto the Avent pump.

Yuh, I bought my adaptor online and I love it because you never have to transfer the milk- it never leaves the cup it's expressed into. Almost as sterile as boobies themselves
