What have you girls been using to store frozen EBM? I'm looking for new ideas. I have been using the ice-cubes then putting them into baggies with the date, but I'm finding that the number of cubes that DD is now requiring won't fit into the bottle when frozen, so I'm having to do it in batches and combine (more hastle and more washing up). I'm not very keen on using the baggies straight up as I found them so fiddly when I was working in childcare and having to prepare BM bottles, and I'm not sure I would solve the same issue I'm having with the ice-cubes (when the baggies freeze then they won't fit in the bottles).
I really like the Avent Via system, especially if you express on a regular basis. Little plastic cups that the lid screws straight off and the bottle top screws straight on. Safe for freezer and dishwasher, and can be used for baby food as bubs gets older.
We have the little Avent cups as well with the screw on lids and I found them fabulous! We used to just send ours to DC frozen and then they would slowly defrost in the fridge then be transferred to her bottles, which were the tomme tippee closer to nature bottles so quite a wide top, that even it is wasn't complete defrosted before warming in a jug of warm water the milk would easily fit in.
I preferred them over the milk bags as they were reusable and were a lot cheaper to wash then replacing the bags all the time, and they stacked nicely in the freezer or fridge
I originally used Avent Via Cups as well, you can get an adapter that I think comes with the larger pack and they will screw straight onto the Avent pump.
