If you are concerned about thrush, just ditch the yeast. It would not make any difference to the recipe, might just taste slightly different, and that you wont get the benefit of it for supply, but you still get the benefit of the oats and flaxseed meal, so better than nothing right....

    YUMMO!!

Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom... DP won't eat them cause I told him they were for my milk supply... LOL he thinks all my post preggo hormone talks of "well grow breasts and lactate" might actually come true if he eats them... oh well more for me!

Have eaten about 6 (or more ) tonight and after reading this thread think I should have waited until the morning to eat them LOL... might be waking up quite uncomfy during the night.

Oh well... who I am I kidding I couldn't have not eaten them

How long does it take to notice an increase in your supply?
My DD2 has a tongue tie that is to be snipped tomorrow morning. She is having 1-2 breast feeds a day but is mostly fed EBM. I have noticed over the last day or so that my supply is dropping down slightly and I don't want it to drop down now that we're about to get the TT snip done. I am going to buy the cookie ingredients in the morning.

Personally, I notice within 1-2 hours after eating 2-3 cookies
    All the best for tomorrow.

For me it was more like about 8 hours, if I had them in the morning my supply was increasing by the afternoon.

I woke up with both sides engorged... usually it is only one side because DD only feeds from one side per feed so the one she feeds from overnight is usually only a little bit engorged but this morning they both were.

That was my first morning after eating about 10 cookies all up

Hope all goes well with the TT Lisa

Thanks everyone. Great to know it is something I should notice within hours rather than days like I was expecting.
Anelise's TT snip went great. When Harrison had his TT snipped, my supply couldn't keep up as it was still in TT mode and he ended up on comp feeds at 6 months, this is something I am trying to avoid by expressing and now by making these cookies.
I am off to buy my cookie ingredients this afternoon after DH finishes work. I will probably sit down to a few after dinner tonight, all going well.

I'm looking forward to loads of successful breast feeds in the near future.
