That same logic could be applied to many a derogitory term - it does not make it right. I don't think it's too much to ask people show some consideration and respect to others.

MG, I apologise if this term has offended, i am certainly not a person of racist nature, as a pp said, it is everyday slang that has been around for a long time, hence i saw no harm in it. again, i apologise.
