Strangest place to breastfeed.

I have pics in my graduation gear, and i am hanging to get a photo of me feeding A on the fire truck in my gear.

library, wedding, and on a big fountain (on the wall bit, not the wet bit )

BUT weirdest place not being able to breastfeed - in a maternity clinic!!! I was there for an appointment, and they don't have a breastfeeding area. The beds were all taken so I couldn't go use one of the chairs by the beds, the waiting area was cram packed and noisy with kids running around, and much too distracting for a little one, and the big comfy chairs which I've nabbed a couple of times in the foetal monitoring unit (when others aren't in there, of course!) also were unavailable, because they're moving the unit ...

So my options were to sit in the tea room, or go back to my car, or do my best in the mosh pit - uh, I mean waiting room ...

DD2 had a feed on the steam train at Timbertown in Wauchope on Wednesday. That tops it for me i think.

This morning I went to the Kathmandu (outdoor gear) sale and sat in one of their display chairs to feed. I wasn't shopping for a chair, but gee... it was so comfortable I wanted to buy one! It was actually really lovely, the staff had no problem with me feeding there and chatted away each time they passed and several people asked if I would recommend the chair.

I breastfed at my wedding a couple of months ago
My dress and bra wern't really catered for breastfeeding, so I had to completely undo it, take off my bra and latch him on! haha!
Got photos of it and all I have such fond memories of breastfeeding, this one is by far my fav!

Today - the park at Lake Gillawarna near Georges Hall... DD was running and fell over so it was mummy milk to the rescue!

ETA: the above was a 'strange' place as DD is 26 months old and I got all sorts of looks.... oh well!

When I was in Ireland, everywhere was weird according to most, because DS was 19mo But, in Ireland, DS decided he really needed to feed in the burial chamber of Newgrange (neolithic stone druid site), so I sat on the floor in there, looking up the light shaft to imagine the Winter Solstice and Druid priests doing their thing right where I was sitting!
All sorts of places, though, that I've fed. I was doing gas suit training with fire brigade it was assessment night. DS was about 8 weeks old. He'd been asleep for most of it, and decided to wake at the moment I had JUST finished donning all the gear in correct order (my structural gear, gas suit with the gumboots attached, my breathing apparatus and my helmet), so I then had to take it all off, in correct order (according to Fire Ground Practices or I'd fail the exercise I was being assessed on), strip out of my structural gear and get an engorged (oversupply) leaky boob out. I was so proud of myself - not just correct order, but record time, too!
My crowning glory, though, has to be the time I was out with my horse where I used to agist, and DS was riding with me at my front. He would have been about 2.5yo or less, but he had a helmet and I was riding bareback with him. It was a warm day and as we rode around the arena he decided he was thirsty. No-one else around to help with my horse, so I lifted him up, turned him around and let him feed - it was such a blissful moment, combining the two things I'd been most passionate about in my life till that point! Ever since then I've been planning a photo of the kids and me on my horse, feeding DD - but DP is one of those who suddenly becomes allergic to cameras when I ask him to take photos of me...so I'm still in planning stages! I wanted to have it for the ABA calendar, ya know, some time before I stop breastfeeding...!

While walking around a vitamin supplement store, DD2 was hungry and at that point not to heavy so I was able to feed her and keep walking

Streets Beach at South Bank, in the water, Friday afternoon. She asked, I gave.
In her car seat, because she is still rear facing, I can lean over when sitting next to her an feed her off to sleep in the car. Love that one.

When we were moving house and had no furniture, we had to be pretty creative too. For a couple of days, all of our feeds were just lying on the floor, as we had nowhere else to go.
