When did you give your little one chocolate?

lachlan was about 5 mnths old(i think) when easter rolled around, and my in laws were trying to peer pressure me into giving him choc, i refused and didnt give him chocolate or lollies until he turned 1. even then it was the smallest bit of chocolate or a banana lolly. hth

Oh yeah, DD has a chocolate egg at Easter, we get up Easter Sunday morning, have our breakfast, go to church & when we get home we have the Easter egg/s.
I forgot about Easter!!!! DD's birthday is around Easter so she was 1 when she had her first chocolate egg

My DS is 11 months old and hasn't had chocolate at all. I'm making vanilla cupcakes for his birthday and I'll let him have a bit of cake but that's the extent of "junk" he'll have for awhile. There is plenty of time for him to eat that sort of stuff.

We were at playgroup at Christmas time and a friend was giving her 10 month old a Freddo Frog. I was shocked!

I think their first easter.
Well Jesse was only a few weeks old, so he missed out, lol, but he's had the odd choccy bikkie.
One every few months. Even the girls are lucky to get chocolate or lollies more than once a month.
Bri doesn't like it.
I think they would've been between 7 & 9 months.

DD hasn't had any chocolate yet, at 15 months. I don't plan on giving her any anytime soon either. Not that I plan to forbid it in the long run, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the delights of chocolate later... I just feel that her palate does not need a sugary assault to the senses at her age. JMHO though.

Jaidan was about 7 months old, Chase was about 11 months and Ashton is 6 months and nothing yet no way.

Each to their own It's cute seeing bubs faces covered in chocolate lol I think as long as it's not a huge amount or a regular thing who cares.

the first time DS had chocolate was the icing on his 1st birthday cake. later in the evening it all came back up. not a pretty sight. he has had a few pieces since that my MIL has given him, she has also given him a lolly pop(!) she also gives him icecream but this is the only time he has sweets IMHO he is way too young!

the closest to chocolate my ds has gotten is a couple of licks of my paddle pop and thats it and I don't think i will be buying him an easter egg this year, he is too young and he doesn't know what he is missing out on. He doesn't like stuff like that anyway, he even dry reached at his 1st birthday when we tried to give him a bit of his birthday cake. He would much rather eat some fruit lol.

DD had a tin of heinz choc custard at about 10 months and didn't like it. Her next taste of chocolate was the weekend just gone for her 1st birthday and she got covered in it from cake and a tim tam. Not planning to make a habit of it though...too messy

Jayden has just started eating chocolate chip cookies about 2 weeks ago and he is over 2.5yrs. It would have been longer only he was helping me make them so I couldn't really say he can't have one! He still hasn't had lollies or soft drink....plenty of time for that when he is older. Ashlea will probably eat chocolate younger as it will be hard to say no if her big brother is having it....we'll see when the time comes. As for Easter, Jayden gets presents....easter soft toys, last year he got 2 fish from his cousin....this year we'll let him have some chocolate but he isn't overly fussed by it anyway (fine with me....more for mummy!) Ashlea will get a big plush easter bunny or something.

7 months and nothing yet, but am alreeady having the Easter debate with everyone (including Shel).

... uh, easy, the same way i don't give chocolate any other day! it's not like the other babies will be bragging about all the chocolate they get If she does get any at easter it'll be the tinest amount ansd then I'll do my mummy duties and eat the rest I'm a bit worriedfd as she doesn't have sugar except what she gets from fruit so i don't want her to go off the deep end!!! lol i don't let her have fruit juice or anything else except water, booby, and the fresh food I give her so... not looking forward to what is probably going to be a sugar overload


A friend of mine was giving her bub cheezels and sips of her coke at 5 months so everyone has different ideas of what is ok obviously.
