Hun, I really want to stress that you are not a failure. In fact you are amazing for continuing through so much difficulty. I went to my first ABA meeting when DS was 1 week old and only just feeding with nipple shields. I only went out of guilt because a friend bought me membership and I felt obliged. I turned up hoping against hope that he wouldn't need a feed while I was there because I couldn't possibly use shields in front of all these "real mums" who "know how to breastfeed properly". As it turned out, going to the meeting was the best thing I could have done. My confidence was so boosted by all these people I'd never met before who thought that I was amazing for being able to feed at all with everything going on. I look back at that time differently now - I know I wasn't "failing", I was doing the very best I could. And so are you hun

Pat yourself on the back for working through all these issues and not giving up. That is truly inspiring.
