hun. I think you can find a way to stop bfing to sleep and still bf. You say that DH has a better time of it settling her to sleep, so how about trying marcellus's suggestion. We always did bf in the lounge, then book and tuck in bed, kiss, goodnight. Get DH to do everything after the bf (if at all possible). How is her ear infection? Have you thought about getting a second opinion on whether she can have grommets (my cousin's DD2 had them put in at about 12 mths and hasn't had a single infection since after three/four in a couple of months - she's in Melb)?
i spoke to Barb last night and im definatly going to get a referal for a ENT re grommets, if the say no then at least ive tried that avenue, she also thinks there may be an allergy issues (were off to the natraupath on wednesday for that) so really until we get some sort of answer, i'll keep feeding which is what i want, as she said night weaning isnt a quick process, it will take weeks. jen i think the ear is better, she slept better last night, up just once, took a while (an hour) to get her back to sleep, but i lay down beside her which seems to be helping
