I bought my brewers yeast from Chemist Warehouse if anyone is still looking. They also have flaxseed meal, but I had already bought mine from Wray Organics. I am using these biccies along with fenugreek capsules while I come off Motillium. I am almost off them and my supply is still going strong. I add white choc chips to mine because I think my princess gets wired on regular chocolate!

Woolies or a homebrew shop PZ. Brew shop is failproof, they will all have it.

Just to make completely sure because I'm a bit dopey when it comes to proper kitchen stuff... I can whip up the dough in my brand spanky new food processor, right?

I just mix with a wooden spoon in a bowl. It's a huge mix so you'd need a massive food processor bowl or do it in smaller quantities.

I only just managed it (didn't wait for an answer, silly me ) and almost burned out the motor with the strain So my advice for anyone else wondering the same thing - you can do all the steps up until the oats with a processor - after that, MIX IT BY HAND YOU LAZY POOPOOHEAD

I have flaxseed oil but not flaxseed meal, can I use this as a substitute and maybe a little more flour?

This is my Aussie-fied version of the various American recipes floating around. It is especially for those who like me, hate to measure. Much.

    Cream 500g Butter.

Chuck in what's left of the Brown Sugar in the packet. (In our house - prolly about 4 tbsp)

    Coupla spoonfuls of Peanut Butter.

    Coupla spoonfuls of Molasses.

    Dollop of Flaxseed Oil.

    1 can of Condensed Milk

    1 egg

    Dribble of Vanilla

    Shake of Cinnamon & Nutmeg

    Cream-cream-cream-cream it all together.

Now, ready for the dry ingredients:

A cup or so of rolled oats

A cup or so of Self Raising Flour

    Now for the Healthy Bits:

Any thing you like from the following list or similar:

    Wheatgerm

    Brewers Yeast

Flaxseed Meal or that LSA stuff

    Whey Powder

Crushed nuts of your choice (I like Pecans, Walnuts and Almonds)

    Goji Berries

    Raisins / Sultanas

    Chopped dried Apricots

    Chia

    Sunflower Seeds

And the Yummy Bits, to make you eat them:

    Choc Chips

Mix it all together until it's the right consistency to shape cookies.

No way am I going to tell you what temp oven or how long, your oven is different to mine, mine is gas, with no fan, so you cook them right up under the grill to avoid them burning on the bottom, on a really low temp, until they are just barely pale brown then whip 'em out quick before they over-cook on the bottom. Now, your oven's not like that, is it??

I made these to help with my supply when expressing at work, but I've not noticed any difference. Although I do drink a lot more water now because they make me thirsty.

I had a similar problem with them not really doing much.

I ended up putting in about 4tbs of brewers yeast, taking domperidone/motillium as well and there has been little difference which I found was a little disappointing.

The raw mixture is still really yummy to munch on though!

Tori-Ella i was taking Motillium with DS2 and it didn't helped hugely until i started taking the maximum which is 2 tablets 3 times a day.. info from a LC at the time, but check with your pharmacist JIC.

    Sorry i hijack ladies.

Also been wondering on the brewers yeast side of things, is it more likely to get thrush/yeast infections from an overload?

Tori-Ella, are you drinking much water? This is important too. Did you notice that your breast tissue increased during pregnancy? Did you have a complicated birth?
