That sounds fine to me hun. Some bf babies do stop daily poos that early. Enjoy your dirty nappy free days!
DS2 doesnt seem to poo everyday? Is this normal. He seems to save it up for one big one.
I thought he ws going to go today but nothing but stinky wind lol!
Is it normal for them to go for at least 4 days without a poo? Can it hurt him by not going everyday? Oh he is exclusively breastfed too!

Phew..i am loving not having to change pooey nappies at all..well at least for a few days!
Thats really eased my mind thanksx
DD#1 was about 4 wks old when she started going only every few days - it was funny because her poo day always came around after I'd done a load of her washing so she'd end up pooing in the same suit everytime! And it was always super explosive - so it became known as her poo-suit![]()
Yup... my DD liked to hold it in too. It's no fun if it lasts for too long as she'd get a bit miserable about it if it had been 4 or 5 days but mu MCHN said that some BF babies can poo as infrequently as once a week. She said it might actually be a good sign that she was 'using' most of the milk consumed and that very little was being made into 'waste'. Not sure about the latter theory but hey, we take the positives where we can get 'em eh??!! Good luck with the poo-splosions!!
SS we may have to have a poo suiteI am hoping he can give me a sign like DS1 used to and maybe I will ahve him out of nappies early like DS1

Thanks girls x
my DD doesnt poo everyday, every second day sometimes third, she is mainly bf (has maybe one FF a day)
but when she does poo.... WOW!!! its amazing that so much can come out f such a little tooshy!!
Also gotta love the way the strain and grunt.. hehe.. considering its just liquid anyway LOL. Poor little things xx
Totally normal! My DS went for 6 days once! But then BOOM! 3 big dirty nappies in a row. And yes his farts smell more than his poo!
The parent helpline said some BF babies can go up to 12 days. I mights seek help if DS got more than a week or so - cause he tends to get upset around the 6 day mark. The look of relief afterwards is quite adorable!

DS has a chair he always seem to do it in! His poo chair!
Rach xx
My DS1 was fully BF and went 21 days, yes that's not a typo... 21 days...
I washed him, the jumpsuit, the sheets, the wall AND the curtains....
Hi,
After about 8-12 weeks some babies go several days between poos - even a week or more. the longest I heard of and the baby was perfectly healthy was 30 days! Breastmilk is so perfectly suited to your baby's needs that there is literally no waste.
But, remember, this information is for onlder babies. In the first 6-8 weeks infrequent poos is a bit of a red flag. It is the commonest sign the baby is not getting enough milk. No need to panic - but it is something that needs to be looked into. It's usually easily fixed.
Sometimes you get people telling a mum of a newborn it's OK if he doesn't poo for several days. Not good advice.
Babies keep us on our toes - just when we think we've worked it out - it all changes
Thanks girls.
Divvy omg the curtains and walls![]()
Barb he didnt do his first mec poo in hospital till the day we left so that was day 4 and he stopped doing them at night by about week 6 cause he was sleeping alot....he went this morning but not abig one like usual...do you think thats ok? He has heaps of wet nappies and feeds alot plus he is a big kid 6.8kgs at 10 weeks????
Yes - all good. He's 9 weeks old now, right?
Yup mine went 14 days once.. Ped said no worries.
We went 10 or so days at one stage unfortunately, now with solids she is pretty regular and those are SO ick... My DD seems to like standing up to do it so always pulls up on the couch or something!
Yeah Barb he is thanks, I dont think I worried this much with my first lol!
Amber, DS2 is very similar. I used to worry about it because my first two would poo every day, more than once. But now realise that's just him. He usually goes a few days in between poos, but sometimes more often.
Normal! My gf's son pooed once a week (bf) and my niece was the same. (bf also)
