It's not thrush is it??? I have got ongoing thrush and get the same pains. They say it feels like shooting pains so i wonder if its that. Like some of the other ladies said it could also be vasospasm. My LC thought that thats what i may have too but my nipple doesn't go white it turns purple after a feed and then goes away. If it is vasospasm, unfortunately there is no cure.

Vasospasms are reduced by avoiding sudden temp changes (I used to have to hold my boobs if I walked into a cold room
). But, they just stopped happening after a few months - went away by themselves.
