I know, that five weeks has gone so quickly!! We are doing really well, lack of sleep aside lol...(you need to update your signature :P)...I bought it at the start because my nipples were hugely cracked and bleeding and sore and my friend said it could be thrush (i suffer from severe vaginal thrush - and have done almost my whole life that i can remember so i figured that bub might get it when born!!)... i tried it for a day but then i went to expressing and they started healing so i figured it was just attachment issues....now after going to a lactation consultant the last two weeks and i know he is attaching fine... i asked my friend all the symtoms again...
really painful to attach, bright pink nipples, i get a deep pain under my breasts (which means its in ur milk ducts apparently), and William has a pimple-y rash on his bottom thats different from nappy rash....
i used it for a couple days and found it to help with the pain but it made me really itchy (to which i learnt if it goes anywhere else on the areola and not just on the nipple it will itch like crazy) - the pain got unbearable again so i'm back on it....
Thrush is my worst enemy.... i hate it with a passion!!!
