Vent - Never give up on your worse day...

Never give up on your worse day...

This is ringing true for me at the moment, I was so close to making up a bottle of formula last night / early hours of this morning.

Oliver just was not settling, now I know this is classed as cluster feeding, either that or comfort sucking due to his reflux. And I know that even a bottle of formula would not have made a difference but when I'm sitting there feeding AGAIN with tender nipples "what if" runs through my mind.

    My night...
    7.06 - 12 min
    Nappy Change
    7.24 - 18 min
    7.57 - 12 min
    8.48 - 16 min
    9.08 - 9 min
    Nappy Change
    10.19 - 40ml Breast Milk
    Settles down and falls asleep

    3.01 - 10 min
    Nappy Change
    3.19 - 13 min
    Nappy Change
    3.49 - 9 min
Takes a while but finally falls asleep again.

Then up at 4.30 to take DH to the airport... Not sure when he's back this time, flights next weekend are a bit pricey... Perhaps the following.

Now I know there is no advice for this but I so needed to get it off my chest... No need for a response just useless venting.

That's quite a night! I hope your nipples have time to recover today and that your wee man feeds a little less for you today. You are doing an awesome job! There's nothing wrong with feeling you need a break sometimes. I know I do. It would be nice if my husband could feed our son sometimes, but the young man won't take a bottle, so here I am typing one handed while feeding

Here's to a better day today!

Lol blue, I said to my husband last night that if Oliver crys one more time then he can provide his nipples for a bit of comfort... Needless to say DH wasn't too keen on that idea...
