do the sensitive nipples start to heal my nipples are really sensitive and hurt when i get cold its only been a week and a half and shes feeding awesome i just wanna know when they wont hurt or be so sensitive
It won't be too much longer, but it's hard at the time - not knowing what will happen. Do you find that it *really* hurts for 10 seconds or so after she attaches and then it gets better? I wonder how many times she feeds now in 24 hours? Try to keep your breasts warm. You are both just on your L-plates, but before you know it you will be down at the local trendy cafe, latte in one hand and the baby on the breast in the other arm - all pain free. (I know, because I see it all the time)
BTW, have you joined the Australian Breastfeeding Association yet? At ABA get togethers (they have them in all areas) you meet up with mums who have been through what you have been through - and can fill you in on the *next stage* as well as mums who are where you are now. Plus, you get the great book, "Breastfeeding...naturally" which is fabulous for giving you the correct and up to date info on breastfeeding.
If they are like mine never (hopefully not like mine) mine starter in pregnacy and got more sensative as I fed both times they are getting better now DD2 is 10 months old fed till 9 months I got to the point I could ignore it.

J - mine were really sensitive to the cold for about a month I reckon - I remember longing for showers as they always felt better when got warmed up nicely. Sounds like everything is going really well - hooray for you two.
