Why so different with the third? Barb?

A non-urgent question but one I am curious about nonetheless - with my third child I am FAR more prone to leaking that with my first two. With Flynn and Ollie I leaked maybe once, but with Rose it is at least 3-4 times a week. I also feel more "let down" pain - something I never had with the boys (both of whom I BF for 6 months plus without problems). Is it because my breasts have "matured"?

rory i found with DD1 i never felt a let down when feeding (did between feeds) and no leaking, with DD2 wow did i feel each and every let down (and did so for over 10 months) and leaked all the time! my guess is taht its due to maturity

I'm holding out in hope I'll have enough supply in this case for when number 3 comes along.

i am experiencing a WHOLE LOT more leaking this time too. 8 weeks in and i can still spray across the room through my bra, breastpads and shirt....without even having DD in the room. it is crazy and i am finding it hard to feed as the flow is just too much at times...i wonder if it does have anything to do with having done BF before

Eek I hope the 3rd isn't worse! I've squirted across the room and had to cover up the 2nd boob with a flat nappy during letdown with both of mine (can't remember for how long tho..) And I've always felt the letdown... you'd often hear me say "here it comes" and then the poor baby would choke on the sudden rush of milk LOL.

I remember the most annoying thing was getting out the shower and having milk running down my clean body!
