Just because she's selling with a new agent doesn't mean your lease has to go to the new agent too. To change a lease to a new agency you would have to sign a whole new one, which would mean getting your bond back from the old agency and paying it again with a new lease. You can sell with one agent and lease thru another, I've done it as a landlord before.

Had this happen a few years ago & had our current RE bought out by another company.
If there are any changes you'll be notified in writing, but thats more in regards to any changes to where your rent payments would be made.
The email I got this afternoon says "Please be advised that (Agent A) are no longer Managing Agents for the above premises. (Agent B) have been appointed as the new Managing Agent by the owner.
Please do not pay any more rent to our office. All future payments should be forwarded to (Agent B) by payment method as they will advise you. "
We're not actually in a lease period at the moment - it expired in November - and I'm really confused by it all.
Thats all you need to worry about then. Some agents will do things differently, like inspections (some every 3 months like clock work, others not so much), but be assured that anything there is to worry about will be forwarded to you in some way.
I've changed the accounts my rent payments go to & thats it. I've not been under a lease agreement since December 09.
