If I had the choice and the money I'd go the pros.
We have done plenty of moves ourselves (a few years ago we had had 5 moves in 5 years) and the one where they came and packed, uplifted, down lifted and unpacked was by far the easiest.
It takes me months to manage to pack boxes myself. It took them under a day and absolutely nothing was packed to start with.
