Renee, only walking is appropriate at this point. Ask about this at your checkup, but you may have to wait even longer before starting ab work.
After your checkup you can probably do low-impact aerobics (one foot always on the floor, boring I know), or a step machine or cross-trainer. You should be able to swim as well.
Take it easy...it's better to be patient and heal properly. Once you start exercising again, you'll be amazed how quickly your strength and flexibility return.
