When I went to my GP in April after AF going missing (thanks PCOS ) he commented that I barely had a c/s scar and took a good look as he was really impressed.

It's invisible except for a faint redy-purple at one end, about 7mm long, where the cut up for some reason. It hurts there too. But other than that its perfectly fine and invisible.

wow - i didn't think they still used staples...
I had staples too! It's the OB's personal preference as to what they use. (Apparently staples lessen the risk of infection) I didn't like the thought of them either but they were awesome. They were removed after 4 days and a steri strip placed over the scar which I had to leave on for another 7-10 days. The scar is barely visible. Though i too have to lift up the overhang (I prefer to call it a stoodgey belly) to see it.

I had staples also - my scar is still purple (5 months on), but it is looking not too bad. Once the colour fades it will be ok. It is a little thicker than I would have liked, but I had an emergency CS due to severe pre-eclampsia and as such I was oozing (sorry TMI) a lot of fluid from my scar for about 3 weeks. OB said that it would take longer to heal as a result. But all healed now, just waiting for that colour to fade!

Has anyone had staples recently? Or any feedback to staples would be appreciated. My Ob has said he will use staples and while that worried me a little I've kept it in back of my head. But now 3 weeks out I'm getting really scared bout staples. I've had other surgery and had internal stitches and the scars are amazing...

    :yeahthat:

I had staples 4 weeks go. Got taken outday 5, no problems, nopain to have them taken out either.
My scar is fint and then a little raised on the right hand side (my dominant side), I'm right handed so I do everything with that side, eg: get out of bed, put my pants on etc...
