Hi Nicambar, I was just reading through this old post from back in Sept and wanted to ask you about the lump that you had. I had a caesar cut to have a big cyst removed 12 days ago now and have a small 'frankfurt' sized lump just above my wound/scar. I'm not in any pain, the wound has healed fine, the lump is hard and doesnt hurt to touch.
Doesnt feel like it's an infection but surely it's not normal. Could it be a hernia? If so, what do they do about it. I'm so upset because it protrudes when i'm on my side and standing up and dont feel like I should have to just put up with a deformity. I haven't had kids yet but will be trying soon.
Any thoughts, ideas?
Thanks in advance
DeDe
DeDe, my frankfurt is still sort of there. You have to really press hard to feel it though. So I am thinking that it's just all the scar tissue from inside.
I did see my frankfurt from a side on view and it really distressed me. I think it just takes time to heal up down there.
Take care.
DeDe, best bet is to see your GP and get them to take a look at it. They may order an Ultrasound to check for fluid behind the wound site.
If there's some residual infection or another problem, that will obviously have to be treated. If however it's scar or healed in an unsightly manner, you may need to wait awhile to see how it develops. It could go down over time. If not, you could pursue plastic surgery at a later date to have that tissue removed and the wound 'tidied up'.
