MG - I had monitoring for my attempt at breech vaginal delivery but it was remote. I could go in the shower and walk without wires. Another option / compromise if they insist on you being monitored. The telemetry unit was fabulous for allowing me my own labour.

I have been given the choice to have a cesar or have the baby by vbac.
That line really grabbed my attention in your post. It is your decision regardless, noone gives you the choice to have either. It is not up to them.
The others have given some great advice. Did your ob tell you about the risks for a c/s as well. Why don't you ask him and see what he says??? There is more chance of something going wrong during surgery than the chance of a uterine rupture.
