We plan on have 3 kiddies and the rate we are going they are gonna be in car seats at the same time, we are looking at Toyota kluger and other 7 seater 4wds it makes sense as when they are older we can fit their friends in the car to itms? I no you can get an 04/05 maybe even 06 kluger for roughly the price your willing to spend. GL

I have just tried 3 sits in the back of our car and OMG I can't fit the 3rd one in!!! I have no idea what I'm going to do. I have a commodore wagon and the two seats we have the Maxi riders.

Does anyone else have two maxi riders in their car? What car do you have?

Can anyone suggest narrow seats which might have to be my back up plan. AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

Thought about the Holden Captiva? It fits 3 seats plus friends and fam in the back with the 7 seater version....

What are the ages of your kids. I have a Holden Commodore Wagon and had a Safe N Sound Meridan, Maxi Rider, and Safe n Sound Hi Liner Booster Seat. If you have 3 under 4 obviously you can't use the booster yet. Only solution I can think of would be try the Safe n Sound Compaq that is meant to be quite narrow I believe.

You can't get much wider than the commodore wagon, thats for sure

We have a Captiva and have both a Maxirider and another Safe N Sound reversible (both forward facing) seats in at the moment, TBH I have no idea how we would fit a third seat in as there's not much room left. And the ambo guy who installed the bub capsule way back when DS2 was a newborn reckoned the middle seat belt in the Captiva was off-centre and therefore not suited to 3 seats. Just one opinion though I guess. I just figure that if I have to put a third car seat in the back we'd have to find slim-line seats.

DH got out in the car during the week and fiddled quite a bit and he assures me he can fit the three seats in. Lord knows how but at least the seats are going to be secure as they can't move, LOL!!

Does anyone know what ages I can think about moving my DD to a H harness or booster? The new laws have confused me a wee bit.

Liviam at the age of 4 they can move from a 5 point harness to a booster. I have the Safe N Sound Hi Liner booster and am quite impressed, it is slimline and the head adjust ups as your child grows, it has a seat belt guide and also the anti submarine clip. I think though they recommend you don't move your child til they meet the weight thing. So around 18kgs is when kids should move from the 5 point harness as they are actually to heavy for the weight limit of the seat.

I hear you on being so tight they can't move one thing to keep in mind when using a booster is that you can buy a seat belt clip extender means you don't have to try and get your hand down between 2 seats to get the belt in. Has been great.

Totally, you do need slimmer seats... Has anyone tried the infa vario booster seat....3cm skinnier than the safe n sound hi-liner and maximum safety rating with a harness (harness is also recommended on safe n sound) .. they are $70 off at babies direct at the moment....I got 2, one for each car....will make total 6 inches diff with 2 boosters in the back eventually.... that's huge ... the lovely girl went and measured them on the floor for me...

i have a 2009 lancer sedan, with a safensound meridian (rearward facing) in the back seat and it doesnt look as though it has enough room for seats on either side, just letting you know, it is cramped for us to even try and sit next to the child seat. and there isnt much boot space either, a pram pretty much fills it. (but guess that would depend on your pram too). you wouldnt really be able to fit a RF on the sides unless you are short, as my DH is 6"2' and needs the leg room up front, which leaves very little leg room in the back. let alone space for a child seat to fit behind one.

but it has great fuel economy. 6.5L/100km, and it handles really nicely.

Any Falcon and probably Commodore should be able to accommodate 3 seats. I have a Ford Falcon Fairlane and I fit 2 kids convertible/booster seats and a fully grown plus sized adult in between

I was thinking about this thread in the last few weeks as I looked at convertible booster seats! So many I looked at had massive cup holders on each side which made them super wide! There would be no way they would fit side by side or next to a baby car seat. I got a hipod from Target which didn't have them and it fits next to the centre placed baby seat (a safe n sound sleep n recline)
