Today my Holden Statesman started .... then when I put it in reverse it went to die so I revved it and the car reversed a little bit, but when it got to the incline on the driveway it died

It was low on fuel, the light was on and I usually fill it up before it gets too low.
When I tried to start it again it tries to start but doesnt click over....

The lights on the dash tell me nothing other than only Holden can fix it ... what crap

So ds has missed going to preschool coz I have no way of getting him there and no one to help me, no family/friends here ....

So Dh suggested NRMA - even if it is just petrol so I can get it fixed and not stress out
mum - Just tells me my car is a piece of crap and how about I get a new one ... thanks

So I have asked my next door neighbour to get me 10 litres of fuel, so I can see if its fuel, It should start with another 10 litres in it ( the mechanic i called thinks) otherwise I have another problem on my hands....

What do you think?
What can I do?
Im trying the petrol but then what if it doesnt work? the neighbour will be half hour or so yet so Im anxious as all hell as to whats wrong with this car !!!!

I tried a jumpstarter pack too but i think it may be broken, should i try to jump start it even though the battery says OK (the green symbol) and its trying to click over to start?
