    I heart my car.

09 VE SS Sportwagon in Ignition (orange) - obviously V8.. We used to have an 06 model, same colour, only in a sedan.

This ain't no soccer mom wagon, she's lowered with bigger brake option, Pacemaker extractors, custom exhaust (sounds like a real V8 should, none of this toned down/quieter to meet emissions/noise pollution stuff), cold air intake. We did put a cam in it for a while, but it was a little too harsh on the tyres and gear changes were a bit too agressive with DD in the car. Have a few colour coded genuine customised extra's in the interior. Recently got some flashy LED headlights too.

She's not too bad for a family truckster. Oh, I also used to have my Homer Simpson plates on it, you know the ones with "mmm....donuts" on them
We have a SSV!...except ours is white, cause DH didn't want one the same colour as anyone else in town has. I actually like the white now, so it worked out well... Dh and I argue over what to do to the car. BIG argument last week because he wants to do stuff and i told him that after he spent $600 on cold air intakes, then exhaust then taking it to Brissie for a custom $1000 tune cause the cold air upset the computer on the car, (he also got them to smooth the gearbox out with the tune) I told him no more...He has his supercharged toy in the backyard, he can go and spend money on it...leave my car alone now lol..

. . . To my latest car, my little mk 2 Esky,
As in an Escort? Cos I had a MkII Escrot - Ghia. That was my first car and I LOVED it!! It was stock standard, but it was a beast!!!! I had so much fun hooning around in that when I was younger until it died and by died I mean moat of the fire wall was gone, the floor under the passenger side is totally rusted out.... just stuffed. We still have it!

Yep Niadalla, Esky as in Escort. Mine's just a GL, not the Ghia. Its got little Hotwire mags, cream colour, and the vinyl roof was tan I think. Dunno, it was REALLY faded before I peeled it off. The rust in yours sounds just like what mine has... Plus some in the front of the roof where the seam in the vinyl roof was, and in the C pillar underneath that useless vent! What are you going to do with yours? Is it a two or four door?

I spent some time getting around in a couple of mk2, worked 2 litre coupes. I just love them (along with so many other cars), and decided to get one now so that I can actually drive around in a car that I enjoy driving. I really enjoy driving, so want to be in something I like.

Sorry Netix, have only just seen this!
Hubs has been talking about doing her up again and having it as the kids first car. Makes me chuckle. Mine was a 4 door.
I LOVED my esky!!!! Was the best car ever when I was a little P plater. My favorite part of the car was the lovely wooden dash.... lmao. It was green with a cream vinyl roof.
Hubs has a project car that has stalled for quite some time now, a 1970 Ford Capri that he wants done up..... it's going to be a LOOOONNNNGGGGG project though.

I love my car, and it will be a sad time to trade her in once my new car rolls off the Holden factory line....So we have about 3 weeks left together .

BUT, I'm equally as excited to get my new Sportwagon in voodoo blue - I just hope she can make it down the driveway without scraping!!

Niadalla; It would make a great first car! At least they'll be able to drive, and not have the car do everything for them! Wooden dash, omg, mine doesn't even have that! Just black! Ooh, early capri..... Tell him to hurry up before it rusts into the ground! Get him to set some small goals for it. That might help.

Leesa, not to burst your bubble, but have you been for a ride/drive in a lowered wagon? They are a bit harsh IMO. Standard, good. Lowered, not so much.
