A few years ago when I looked into it, if you've had a c/s or lost a dramatic amount of weight then you are entitled to a rebate on some plastic surgery (ie. tummy tuck & boob lift) Dunno if this still applies though!

    Sorry to be OT

hmmm rebate for c/s...now I wonder if I get a bonus discount for having 4

TBH We have no plans for ours yet! All our Xmas shopping is done and there is nothing we need or want. So it looks like it may be going into the rainy day account!

No overdue bills or credit cards here. Might get a new washine machine because the $30 garage sale one I bought when I moved out is about the walk out the back door.

Off to check the website though, cos my FTB isn't due until Friday week.

Had a brain wave overnight- I am buying myself a BB memebership with my bonus. That's $300 down (including dh's Xmas pressie), only $700 to go if I am going to do my patriotic duty and spend, spend, spend....

We've upgraded our tent & camping gear... it is all on lay-by so that will get paid off with the money.
The rest will be spent on Xmas & bills.

just on the c section thing you can only get a medicare rebate if it was a botched job or got infected and there is severe scarring. If it was a normal c section with a normal scar and no adhesions etc you dont qualify for a rebate......sorry to burst your bubble mazzy moo!

My SIL was told she can get one because of the botched job they did on her when her first was born in the US..... the scar has to be classed as disfiguring before you qualify......

Hmm I think mine's disfigured enough AND I scored the post-op infection too so maybe I'm still in with a chance! The GP did mention future plastic surgery to me at the time...but for now I'll just ignore The Flap and enjoy my Krudd Krissmas Spending!

I have no idea what I'm spending the money on. We don't need a new tv, washing machine or anything as they're all new.
Maybe I should spend it on paint and stuff to start renovating our house??
