Hi, besides child support, which other benifits are u entitled to as a single parent?
Just seeing what kind of finances i'll have to see whether i can keep my girls in this house or if we'd have to move somewhere more affordable should things come to it.
TIA
You would get the single parent pension (until your youngest turns 6) and the family tax benefit a and b - which you might already get anyway.
With one child I was getting about $950 a fortnight total with the pension and family tax - and 100% child care benefit which meant daycare was a cheaper for me too.
I also get rent assistance and child support from the dad. I thought I wouldn't be able to keep living in the house we were in but I was pleasantly surprised.
I went into centrelink and the ladies there were very helpful
Child support does affect you ftb payments go online and do the calculators on the centre link site I would make sure you go thru child support and get them to collect the money so if he doesn't pay they can deal with it
