Hi just wondering if someone can have a look at my chart and tell me what you think? its my first month charting so i don't just want to get my hopes up if everyone else thinks that im not.
Hi, your charts looks OK. Unfortunately, sometimes classic "pregnant" charts result in a BFN, and the most unsuspecting charts can result in a BFP! All that really matters is you have ovulated, timed BD well, and had some EWCM fertile mucuous at the time. Seems you have all of these so you have a good chance.
Hang in there! 5% of perfectly healthy fertile couples take more than 12 months to conceive.
It does look good - but what PrincessXanthe said - it still could take awhile - dont get your hopes up cause that can be taxing and take the joy out of Trying!
I hope ur one of the lucky ones tho and fall preg really soon! fingers are crossed for you!
thanks girsl.. i know not to get my hopes up and i have no idea when af is due. last time i went 5 months without it but i apparently didn't ov that time either. i know it may take a while, but that doesnt' make it any easier. i will do as dory says"just keep swimming, just keep swimming"...
Hey Liz. Your chart looks promising but like you I don't want to get your hopes up! Only time will tell I'm afraid. Fingers are crossed for you!!
For future reference, you will have a much better chance if you are able to move your ovulation closer to 14-17days. The egg reaches its peak diameter (size) around day 14, and after day 17 the egg starts to shrink and 'dry out', making it less likely to be fertilised and more inclined to result in an early miscarriage (sorry - but it does help to know this - I have been down this road before with incredibly long cycles).
The good news is that Traditional Chinese Medicine and Naturopathy are effective means for reducing or lengthening cycle length - usually caused by a hormonal imbalance. Were you on the pill prior to TTC?
yeah i was on the pill for 9 years so i think thats why my cycles are a bit out of wack. unfortunately i cant really afford to see an accupunturist on a regular basis. i saw one last cycle and to be honest im not sure it helped at all. she didn't actually address the problem i was there for(5 month cycle) and tried to treat something else. i realise that sometimes you have to fix other things to get to the real problem but with limited funds its not really an option for me to go back every week.
thanks for the advice though i really appreciate it.
How long are your cycles normally? If they are normally 32-34 day clcles, I would say it starting to look good. If your cycles are irregular or longer, you may have O'ed on CD24, with the data on CD20 being an annomolly (?sp).
hi mum2jonah,
since coming off the pill my first cycle was 5 months. that is the only one i have had. before i went on the pill they were regular(its a long time ago so i don't remember the days). its something to think about though. thanks
Liz, I'm not sure if you have read Francesca Naish's book - The Natural Way to Better Babies - Preconceptual Healthcare for Prospective Parents. It goes into detail about how to restore optimal cycle length after long term pill use, as well as which vitamins are essential to take after being on the pill, how to increase sperm motility etc.
She is a Naturopath and one of Australias most esteemed natural fertility experts. I just though I'd mention it coz that way you can receive loads of expert advice without paying the earth for it - coz I agree, Natural medicine is not cheap.
it means there was something in your symptoms whcih could mean unexpected rise in temp, say sleep deprived or sick or something so that temp is not classed as being accurate,
its more the rise after day 5 that makes it look like o day on day 5
so i think i will test again tomorrow. i've been feeling a bit off today.. very gassy. sorry tmi. and very snuffly... which is handy while so gassy... lol. so im thinking the dip at 9dpo may have been imp.so if i did o on the 5th day like kawazuki says then i would only be 8dpo.. which is not long enough to test.. ahhhhh i hate this,
