my gynecologist told me that with really long cycles, it can be very hard to pick up a rise in temperature... because all the normal jumps and bumps in the pre-O stage can tend to disguise what's going on.

His suggestions to me don't really apply here, as it was all about PCOS and what to do to make cycles shorter. Basically, you need to trust your body, be in tune with what's going on and BD as much as possible. Everything else was pretty specific to my situation with PCOS (take metformin, lose weight, get fit, eat low GI and take clomid if necessary).
