Sorry taleutia, I don't have any answers on the cervix position thing - I never got the hang of that and I am done with the TTC.

As CM variations - it can happen for some subjective reasons - might be higher than you can check so that type you are looking for is there but not noticeable. I seem to remember there are some better times to check than others - vaguely remember something about CM flowing better after a twinkle (sorry if that is TMI). I remember just noting the general pattern of it without getting to hung up on it at any one time as observations can vary during the day. If you get AF regularly then it sounds like you are O'ing and are in for a chance. As Prof Robert Winston says the only real trick is to DTD and do it often - or words to that effect. Sounds like your luteal phase of your cycle is a normal length and O would occur 11 to 14 days prior to AF's arrival. Anyway, hope you get some answers soon.
