Hotl, can I suggest making a time to chat with the teacher after a session? It might give you an opportunity to clarify some of the things that have been said and to share how you would like your DD guided. IMO 'oppositional' makes me think the teacher wants complete compliance and obedience, which in my books is not quite right.
