Can't remember how many are in DD1's class... will have to check tomorrow
She's quiet enjoying kinder at the moment but can't wait to bring home the wellington owl.... it's a teddy we get to write about and she has it for a week.
She's being so patient hoping her name gets picked out.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Seems DD1's class is a little bit 'larger' than average. It hasn't affected her (from what i've seen doing kinder duty) it just feels like there's a lot of kids! I think i find it a lot more because her 3yr old kindy could only have a max of 17 kids per session.

I did parent helper today which was so nice to be there but DS1 wanted me to always play with him and do things which is lovely but I was worried he isn't playing with other kids but teacher assured me that he does normally. My brother came to watch DS2 for me.

W played outside for ages swings, slide, climbing, castles and knights, cubby house, dolls house, sandpit. Then inside for snack time and I got to read group story. Song time then free play where they could paint, paste, make easter baskets or bunny ears, build with blocks, read stories, play in home corner, watch the frogs, turtle, fish.

It was really great and even better to not have DS2 in DS1 face all the time and watch DS1 do his own thing, the excitment that I was staying was so sweet.

There are 2 kinder rooms, one has 15 and one as 25 max. Just based on the size of the rooms.

Feeb, I think your Ds goes to kinder with one of dd2's Playgroup boys.

I felt sorry for one of the little boys in DDs class. His Mum saw me sitting down with him doing some pasting and she says "oh are you sticking around for parent help?" I said Yes and she says "Well i admire you, I could think of nothing worse than having to play with other ppls kids" she then walked off with barely a goodbye for her DS I was so caught off guard i didn't even have a reply

    :O WTF?! Wow

I would love to stay & help out with my kids & school stuff. But I always have older kids with me & always have Rohan so it makes it difficult as I feel we just become a pain. My older boy touches EVERYTHING. But I always sit & play with Iain for at least 20 mins or so before he asks me to leave, Rohan usually starts to be a pest so he tells me to take Rohan home LOL.

oo i just found this thread

DJ is at kinder and his class has 22, but they split them in half - half inside half outside.
He also has a full time aside due to his Angelmans syndrome. but the teachers he has are wonderful. and i LOVE watching him with his aside T. and he even has a few little friends too - its so funny when he's dropped off in the morning he kinda draggs his feet until he hits the gate then he's like a bull at a red flag and squeals sooo loudly when he see's his teachers or T and will run (in this walker or drag mum lol)

He was but little boy you know has left and gone to a kinder in different suburb closer for mum. But Mum and I have stayed in touch and took kids out for dinner other night and kids had a ball as they really liked each other! So bit sad.

OMG that is awful!!! The poor child. DS1 was over the moon having me there and took me to his teacher and told her my mummy staying today so proud.

Have to admit I am one of those parents who does not like helping out, but I do it anyway. I just make sure that I don't express my feelings on the matter in front of the girls.

i have no issue with parents who don't like/want to/can't/ do it! It was more the way she said it and in front of her son that annoyed me
