hmmm. well this is our local public school (the 'kindy' term gets confusing because the states are all different). I don't know that they're isolated, as such, this is just what DS has told us. So I want to find that out first. Thanks for that info though, asugirl, that's good to know

UA - that's a good point. I don't know that it's really workable to be doing different things with different kids. I guess I'd like the idea of doing different things overall - but need more info on it first anyway.
