Minimum hours?
Do childcare centres have a minimum amount of hours you have enrol your child at the centre for? or could you enrol them for say 1 hour a week.
Not looking at sending my kids to childcare, just a homework question

My daycare centre has no minimum, but regardless if they are there 1 hour or 12... You're still charged for 12. That's long day care however. I cannot remember if family daycare was different, not used it in years

I don't think there's a minimum hours as such, but similar to Rosetti, DS2's daycare has either half days or full days, and you're charged by the day rather than the hour if that makes sense?

DS' family day carer in Qld charged by the hour. No minimum that I was aware of - it was up to the individual Carer.
The FDC he went to in WA for a bit was a 8hour day minimum. Again it was up to the individual Carer.

Our old daycare used to of half days, 4 hours if they had places but this one charges per day regardless of how much time they spend there.

If the topic covers occasional care, that can be as low as one hour. Depending on the service it may be a max of 2 hours or even up to 5.

Yeah I put in my answer that maybe finding a local occasional care service may be a better and cheaper alternative.
