But lice need to be near the warmth of the scalp to survive........so how do they last long enough to hatch eggs on a pillowcase?
From what I've read the eggs can't survive. If an egg is too far from the scalp but still on the hair there's a good chance it's either hatched already or dead. I agree with the conditioner and nit comb though.

Anila, that's right, they don't jump... it's direct head to head contact or obviously if there is one in a hat and you know how kids can plonk them on their friends heads sometimes lol.

Old hairdressers trick. Kills eggs instantly.
We had it sprayed in our hair.
Weird, but it works.
