My DD is 15 months old and has been running a temperature since last night. Around 10pm I heard her coughing and went to check and she had vomited everywhere. Took her temp, it was around 39 degrees - gave panadol and kept her up for 20 minutes and put her back to bed. Around 2:30am she woke again with a temp of around 38.5, we gave more panadol and she went down again until 6am this morning. She is typically an all night sleeper so this wasn't unusual. Today she has had 3 sleeps of 45 minutes which is unusual. She's been doing 1 1.5 - 2.5 hour sleep in the middle of the day for a couple of months now. She was fine otherwise, a mildish temp of high 37's but happy and drinking her milk/eating as per normal. We've just heard her coughing again and I've gone in to check and she's vomited again. Her temp is now 40 degrees. I've taken it about 6 times to check. I've given panadol. I think the vomiting is solely as a result of the high temp but can't be 100% sure. I've offered water and she drank quite a few sips. No vomiting since. I've stripped her off to a nappy and singlet and she's lying on Daddy resting. This is uber unusual, she's one of those kids who is tired and wants to be in bed NOW, no cuddles.

Should I be doing anything else and since the temp has been around for more than 24 hours should I be taking her to the doctor tomorrow?

Thanks in advance.
