Okay, did a runner to the chemist because I never have a hope getting into our normal GP on short notice. Chemist sent me to the GP next door to them (just opened up). It's a bacterial infection, to be treated with cream (because it's not bothering her). I have to go back in three days so the doctor can see what it's doing and give us antibiotics if the cream isn't working.
I was really impressed with the GP, she was thorough, verbalised her thought process and made sure I was happy with what she came up with. In the process of transferring all our medical documents to the clinic. Been very unhappy with our old clinic of late.
Thanks for your replies. I have my almost 3 year old niece coming over tonight, but have been assured it's not contagious.
