    Hirschsprung's Disease

    Hi,

I know this is a long shot but I thought I would try here anyway.

I'm looking for anyone who has a child who was diagnosed with this condition. How it was discovered and how their treatment and recovery have gone?

We are at the beginning, the symptoms fit perfectly for our princess.

Any information will be very appreciated either here or in pm.

    Thank you for your time.

My niece (1 year old) has Hirschprung's. When she was a week old, I think her symptoms started when she wouldn't breastfeed, then didn't poo. She got flown to Royal Children's when she started vomiting faeces. Was rushed into surgery and had part of her colon and/or intestine removed and ended up with a colostomy bag for about 4 or 5 months, whilst she was healing inside. She then went back to surgery to reattach her intestine/colon.

I could ask my sister if it's okay to give her number to you?? She can explain her whole journey alot better lol.

Hey Eza Thanks for checking up on us!!!

The biopsy's came back all clear for Hirschsprung's They now believe our little princess has an intolerance to milk/milk proteins and soy. So mummy is on a milk/soy free diet in the hope that things improve... If not its more investigation for our little girl. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply and check on us during such a scary time It was greatly appreciated!
