Just a note about paw paw - I heard somewhere that it can cause thrush so maybe just be very cautious when putting it on that it's only going where it's needed and nowhere else!
Um also at risk of TMI, if the 'blistery' thing is just outside the er.. hole... then it may be a tiny anal fissure rather than a 'roid - as I understand it 'roids are bulging vessels just INSIDE... Treatment is the same though so it doesn't really matter which it is. HTH

You can get internal and external roids.
I hope whatever it is clears up soon Mel. Poor little chicken.

Haemmorrhoids would be unusual in that age, I agree that it is more likely to be a small anal fissure.

It should get better on it's own, but if you notice it becoming red, or if you notice any pus or bleeding, I would take her to be checked out.

What are you giving her for the constipation?

Michael - at the moment, just a bit of extra water during the day. The homeopath wanted me to take her off everything and try the soy formula - and give it 3 days and then start introducing coloxyl again.

So the 3 days were up yesterday. I'll probably start with the coloxyl again I guess, I like that idea better than the brown sugar, and I didn't like the effect last time with the prune juice!!
