Hi Everyone -

(Please please don't turn my thread into a debate, I just couldn't stand for it to be tainted when I want to come in here and post for my own sanity)

Today is day7 by my way of counting. Cade is still taking his 10 day course of antibiotics which he started taking on Day 3 so he is still contagious for another day but I am telling family and friends that its another 2 days. I figure the 5 day quantine period has a safety net built into it and then I'll add another day onto it at the end just to be safe.

The last 2 nights (since we got home from hosptial) Cade has been showing very little signs of even the cold-like symptoms. The first night home from hospital he had a blocked up nose at around 2am and we gave him saline drops and he went back to sleep with us in our bed and rasied up. He actually sleeps in his bassinet raised up too and this seems to make him comfortable for sleeping. Last night he slept so peacefully until around 6am this morning when he seemed to get a little bit snuffly. We fed him at 7am and didn't give him any saline drops and he has gone happily back to bed.

So far so good. I hope the anti-biotics have hit the cold-like symptoms on the had. He certainly hasn't progressed yet to a runny nose and he hasn't shown any signs of the cough yet either. Waiting, waiting waiting....
